Introducing abantu

Decide together, without a platform in the middle.

A neighbourhood association needs to decide how to spend its savings. A cooperative needs a treasurer. A family needs to agree who looks after the land. Today that happens in a WhatsApp group: decisions get lost, and the group belongs to a company.

abantu (people, in Kinyarwanda) gives the group its own place: members, roles, proposals with a deadline, votes, projects, and the rules the group chooses. Everything is signed by the member who did it and kept on the members' own devices, so nobody can rewrite it, read it from outside, or switch it off.

You can use it on Android, on a computer, or in the browser at abantu.paramira.org. Or try it first, with a test community and bot members, in the playground.
